God and Country Day

Every Fourth of July our Church celebrates God and Country Day. It is one of my most favorite Sundays. I put the boys in Red, White, and Blue to celebrate. It is also Troy and I's 6th Anniversary. Happy Anniversary Troy! I love you!

Look at my Beautiful Smile!

I started smiling this week. Mommy finally caught a couple on camera. She also let me sit in my new bed for the first time. I love all of the animals!

Derek is ONE MONTH OLD

Here is a picture of Derek on his one month Birthday. He weighed 10.11 pounds and was 21 1/2 inches long. He is growing so fast!

The last picture is from September of 2006. It is Dylan in the same outfit on his one month birthday!

Visiting with Family

Troy's family came into town for the weekend to see Baby Derek and Dylan.

Fixing the Roof

Last week the boys and I pulled up to the house to find Troy attached to the roof by a rope. Some of our shingles had been blown up by a storm and he was fixin them. Dylan thought it was pretty funny to see Daddy on the roof!

Derek's first Sunday at Church!

Just a restful afternoon????

I thought that last Tuesday was going to be a "restful" afternoon at home. My friend Autumn had just taken me to drop my car off to get the air conditioning fixed and with no car, I thought we were in for the day. When she dropped us off, I closed the garage door, sat Derek on the table (strapped in his carrier) and headed outside to let the new puppy out of her kennel. I had to shut the back door so that neither one of the dogs would come inside. It took me a minute to get her out, refill the water bowl and head back inside. When I went to turn the knob on the backdoor (my only way in) I realized it would not turn. I knew that there was some mistake and I tried it again. Once I realized that it was not going to open, I began to panic. I ran to the side to check the garage door... it was down. I ran back to the back door and looked in the window to see Dylan playing with the knob. I started screaming and hitting the door. "Dylan turn the knob, Open the door for Mommy!!!" Well, my screams and crying made it worse for poor Dylan. He ran to his room, grabbed Happy and laid on the living room floor crying. At this point, Derek is SCREAMING on the kitchen table and is VERY ready to eat. I was still panicked and ran to the neighbors house (whom I have never met before) and in between tears asked to borrow the phone. I called Troy and he headed home to let me inside. He did not think that Dylan could lock the door but came home anyway to rescue us. So the next 20 or so minutes was filled with me looking in the window at Dylan crying and Derek screaming on the table. During all of this the new puppy is biting my feet. It was making me soooo mad. When I saw Troy drive down the street I ran to the garage door, that he had opened and got inside. The kids were fine... Derek had cried himself to sleep and Dylan was playing on the couch. It took a while for me to calm down but I was just so thankful that they were okay!!

And they Sleep...

Dylan loves to sleep with ALL of his animals. When I went in to check on him all you could see was his legs and feet.

Derek sleeps just like his older brother did... stretched out with his hands behind his head. So cute!!

Enjoying our boys...

Quarter Back or Running Back?????

Derek's First Trip to Oklahoma

Derek went to Oklahoma last weekend for the first time. We had a great time and he enjoyed getting to meet Troy' side of the family. The little girl in the picture is Dylan and Derek's cousin, Gracie. Dylan had fun getting to play with her. The metal tub is full of drinks...you can imagine what they were thinking...

LOTS TO BLOG

I have left my camera at my grandparents house so I am anxious to get that back so I can post all of the fun things we have been doing for the past week. Here are a couple from our latest adventure... a new puppy!!! I am sure those of ya'll that knew it took us up until the week that Derek was born to decide on a name, are NOT shocked that we do not have a name for her yet. She is a mix of a Saint Bernard, Akita, and a Mastiff....SHE IS GOING TO BE BIG!!

Dylan loves her already. He just calls her "Puppy".
